On Wednesday, 2K Sports announced the United States Men’s Basketball team and the Original Dream Team would be included in this year's game. Now, the Dream Team will be added to NBA 2K17 as pre-order bonus.
As a NBA 2K17 pre-order bonus, the original 1992 Dream Team that won gold in Barcelona, Spain will make its second appearance. The team was also included in NBA 2K13. The collaboration between NBA 2K and USA Basketball allows them to bring together Dream Team players like Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Charles Barkley to face off against the teams of today.
This is the first time Charles Barkley and Christian Laettner have appeared in an NBA 2K game. The rest of the players have been available previously, though only on their respective NBA teams.
In addition to the 2016 USA Basketball men's team would make an appearance in the upcoming basketball game, the coach Mike Krzyzewski will be on the sidelines, advising the USA team during its games. Krzyzewski will also appear in the in-game tutorials.
The Dream Team isn't the only squad getting added to this year's basketball game. The Australian Boomers will also make their way to NBA 2K17 when it releases later this year. Well, as of now, we still haven’t seen any screenshots or footage of the new game. But the first screenshots for NBA 2K16 were revealed on August 4 of 2015, so we could still be a week or so away from that part of the buildup.
